3 months of daily rope skipping before and after: The story of Lisa

I've tried so many things. Yoga, Pilates, jogging, swimming - but nothing really had a quick enough effect to keep me motivated. I kept feeling discouraged because progress was just too slow. I tried so many things, but the breakthrough just wouldn't come. For many of these sports, I always had to stick to fixed times and places and then train with other people who were much fitter than me . That often demotivated me and at some point I just gave up.

But then I realized that I needed something different - something flexible, effective and, above all, something that I enjoyed . That's exactly what I found in rope skipping . I first heard about Everjump from Kai Pflaume during his triathlon preparation and then saw it again on the Lions' Den on VOX - no sooner said than done, the all-rounder set was ordered.

Month 1: Starting with the light 125-gram rope

At first I didn't know how much I would like it. But I wanted to at least try it. So I decided to start with the lightest rope, the 125-gram rope. Every day I jumped for exactly 15 minutes in my living room - it was my very own personal fitness highlight without having to leave the house.

The first few days were really hard. My legs were burning and I often wondered if I was really making progress. But then I noticed how my endurance gradually increased. I felt stronger and could do more jumps in a row. After just a few days I noticed a change - and that motivated me to keep going. I kept jumping, every day, and with each week I noticed how my body was changing.

Month 2: Progress with the 225-gram rope

In the second month, I felt ready to increase the difficulty level, so I grabbed the 225g rope and started jumping for the next 15 minutes. It was noticeably harder, but that was exactly what I needed. I wanted to see progress - and that's what I got.

It was amazing how quickly my body adapted to the heavier rope. My legs got stronger and my cardiovascular system improved enormously. I could jump faster, the breaks between jumps became shorter and, most importantly, I could feel the pounds falling off. So much had happened in just one month - and that was despite only investing 15 minutes a day.

Month 3: The climax with the 325-gram rope

In the third month I was really proud of what I had achieved, so I moved up to the heaviest rope, the 325-gram rope. It was really challenging, but I knew it was the right step. I was now jumping for 15 minutes every day, and the progress was incredible. Not only was I able to increase my endurance, but my muscles were also becoming more defined.

What struck me most was how much fitter and stronger I felt. This daily routine had not only changed my appearance, but also my self-confidence and my energy. The difference between before and after was not only visible, but also noticeable.

The Evermat and Everjump app

There was a small incident, however, when after three weeks of jumping rope, I received a complaint from the tenant below me. The noise from my jumps was probably a bit too much. But instead of letting that discourage me, I reached for the Evermat - a special mat that dampens the noise and at the same time provides more comfort. Since then, everything has been perfect!

What gave me an extra motivation was the Everjump app . I could track my progress closely and that helped me keep going. But what was really great was the app's competition mode . My best friend Jojo was also into skipping rope and we could compare our progress. Whenever I was about to give up, I would glance at the app to see if Jojo had jumped yet. Her progress motivated me not to give up - on the contrary, it helped me push my own limits.

My conclusion: flexibility, efficiency and fun

Today I can proudly say that jumping rope is not only one of the most effective methods for weight loss and fitness, but also the one I enjoyed the most. It offered me flexibility - I didn't have to be tied to a specific place or time. It was efficient because it gave quick results, and above all, it was fun because I could do it anytime, anywhere.

I never imagined that just 15 minutes of jumping rope a day would make so many changes in such a short amount of time. Jumping rope has changed my life - not only because it helped me lose weight, but also because it made me enjoy taking care of myself again.

So, if you're hesitant, just start! 15 minutes of jumping rope every day can change your life too - and who knows, maybe in 3 months you'll look back on your progress as proud as I am.
